From the enactment of the Clean Air Act in the United States to the launch of the War on Pollution in China, history shows that air pollution is a solvable problem—with the help of effective policies, and citizen demand for change.

How can citizen demand meaningfully drive action on clean air? What role does pollution data play in shaping narratives around air quality? How can data be communicated to be most impactful in driving change? The Data to Demand to Action Webinar Series seeks to answer these questions.

On April 1, Tanushree Ganguly, Director of AQLI, Christa Hasenkopf, EPIC's Clean Air Program Director, and Anna Dworakowska, Co-Founder and Coordinator of Polish Smog Alert, discussed how to successfully engage communities to demand clean air and drive policy change. Dworakowska presented the challenges and successes of Polish Smog Alert, which gathers 50 grassroot air quality initiatives across Poland.
